Freedom Trail Foundation Preservation Fund
Your Price: From $500.00 to $5,000.00
So you want to help? That’s great! We have identified some projects that currently need underwriting
with SUGGESTED levels of support.
The current Preservation Fund projects underway are restoration and painting the Old North Church
steeple ($75,000 Preservation Fund Grant 2012). In addition, Copp’s Hill Burying Ground is undergoing
restoration and the Freedom Trail Foundation has selected to grant the funding of headstone
restoration ($25,000 Preservation Fund Grant 2011). The Foundation funded over $125,000 in historic
landscape restoration of the Granary Burying Ground — Preservation Fund grant to the Boston Parks &
Recreation Department 2011.
The Freedom Trail Foundation would like to help with other projects that make up the nearly $85 million
in needed maintenance and restoration projects at other Freedom Trail sites. These include, but are not
limited to pointing brick façades to seal against water and weather damage; painting the window frames
at several sites; insulation; alleviate mildew that damages historic artifacts; and provide matching funds
for large capital grants from state agencies of other foundations.
We welcome your support and more importantly welcome your call to talk about the projects you are
interested in. Please give today or call to discuss your level of interest. 617.357.8300 x206 Suzanne
