Details of School Tours

School groups can book a walking tour of the Freedom Trail led by an 18th Century Costumed Guide. Your students listen to the speeches of the Sons of Liberty in the places where they actually occurred and hear reenactments of the events that sparked the War for Independence. These 90 minute tours are outside, and cover 12 sites from Boston Common to Faneuil Hall. They generally begin at the Visitor Information Center on Boston Common. (Boston Common, Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King;s Chapel and burying ground, First Public Schol and Ben Franklin statue, Old Corner Bookstore, Old South Meeting House, Old State House Museum, Boston Massacre site and Faneuil Hall.) The ticket does not include entry into any of fee-based Museums (Old South Meeting House, Old State House and Paul Revere House). Select your preferred date and the Freedom Trail Foundation will be in touch with you to confirm your booking. Special routes and themed tours can be arranged. One free chaperone for first 20 students.
